I apologize to Rebecca

I should not have said that.

At times I open my mouth without thinking and this was one of those times.

Again, my apologies and best wishes on your marriage.

I hope it feels so good to be right and the "bigger person," there really is nothing more exhilerating than pointing out the short comings of others; and then getting away with it, now is there Callie?! You're quite the professional at doing this, the whole; I didn't mean it, I'm sorry, but it was my opinion and i'm entitled to it, b.s.! The worst kind of apologies ever are ones with excuses in them! You should never say "I" in an apology, Chris taught me that!

how can you apologize without saying I?

Besides the "I" before I'm sorry, you shouldn't refer to yourself or your feelings in an apology, it completely defeats the purpose.

ok here is a shot at it.

You are correct it wasn't the right thing to judge or criticize you and say something so horrible and mean about you.

The worst thing someone can do is to criticize someone 's spouce and this has to be one of the stupidist things yours truely has ever said.

Out of curiosity, Rebecca, what was wrong with Callie's apology? I didn't detect any sort of excuse whatsoever.
