Funny, when this time of year comes, my wife and I both start singing the song, "It's the most wonderful time, of the year!" The kids go off to school and we get a breather, until the first night when you have to go buy weirder lists of things than a Frat scavenger hunt for some teacher who supplements her stash of school supplies with a year's worth on our dime. Can't really blame her, but it is a drudgery and an expense and it is combined with the obligatory first night's homework of writing a novel, building a working volcano, and gathering popsicle sticks for some odd future project.

Haven't had a vacation this year and it's getting to me. Just got back from the ER after very weird symptoms...probably stress-related.

Callie, I'm shutting my tv off more and more and trying to spend time with the wayward son. The wife won't let me spend any dough, so a fishing trip is out of the question, but I will work on other venues for father and son chats.
BTW, poor rebecca can can it and blog elsewhere. She's too harsh on others who mean well. I feel sorry for her, and wish her the best in her new marriage.
As for you, don't let others get you down and keep on blogging. Elder will set you straight if you veer off the path of sanity and common courtesy. Others of us enjoy and rely on your blogging as a catalyst for thought and intraspection. You don't have a blog worth its salt if it doesn't ruffle a few tail feathers periodically. That's what makes this medium so fascinating and relevant. Stay relevant, stay online and concentrate on the 20% who are your true friends.
Thinking back 20 years, we should cut dear rebecca some slack as she's got to be frazzled as a new bride dealing with all the zany, wonderful and scary feelings and happenings as a result of being a recent bride. If there was ever a person she could learn from and get some good, caring advice from, it's you, callie. If she let you, you could be one of the best friends she'd ever had...even if you don't agree on everything.

I would like for you guys to really read my blog.... It seems to me you are being rather selective and harsh on me! I have a list about a mile long in my archives that I call my thankful list, cute pictures of animals, and cute pictures of babies, and maybe 2 or 3 entries about me hating my job. It's not fair that you'd judge me, especially on a couple to a few entries about my job when I was upset. You have it backwards misfittoy, I never ever said one mean word to Callie, she was determined not to like me, b/c I do not conduct myself in the ungenuine manner she does! I prefer to be real, I'm not going to put on an act for people like others would, just for what....

I always wanted you to like me Callie, and I could detect for some reason or another you did not. I can't even explain just how much you hurt my feelings! But I'm not a real person, right?! I'm just another stupid girl who is out of control, right?! You have no idea what I have changed in my life, nor do you want to then you might be wrong for once, or notice just how much you have in common with me. It's easier not to look back and just judge though isn't it?!

And about apologies, I was wrong about what Chris said, if you're going to apologize don't have an excuse, b/c if you have an excuse you therefore have a reason for what you did. You should never cheapen an apology to anyone with an excuse.

And also Misfittoy, I have never been too harsh on anyone who didn't deserve it! Just read what Callie said that really says it all! And keep in mind Callie and I have never done anything but exchange a few pleasantries before that!

Once again, Rebecca my comments were too harsh and I apologize.

Had someone said that to me it have hurt my feelings as well.

I have clearly misjudged you and been mistaken.

I do like you Rebecca and have made mistakes myself believe me.

Sorry to have been so rude.
