Why Blog?

I get discouraged with blogging sometimes.

When I post something people disagree with, and they start to point that out it gets on my nerves something terrible. Like most people I suppose, I prefer everyone to tell me how brilliant and insightful I am.

When I get a list of comments telling me I have my head up my ass, well, it stings.

This doesn't happen often but hey, its happened enough.

Anyone recall my racial profiling post?

Thanks! I love blogging again!

And actually I learned alot from the incoming I took on that one.

I can understand how it would feel to be the target of supsicion just because your parents came from a Muslim country.

don't stop blogging, Callie,as you have a lot to contribute.

BTW, check out GOALS! by Brian Tracy at the library or on Amazon.com. See Chapter 14 on Time Management. The 80/20 rule, practiced procrastination, and other sage conclusions will help with your report. Also, check out the latest book by Carolyn Kepcher - Carloyn 101 of Donald Trumps'Apprenticeshow fame. I just picked up her book with others by Tony Robbins, Jack Welch, Donald Trump, and other business persons to enhance my leadership skills along with my new executive mentoring. I read thru Carolyn's book with a migraine and found it very compelling and one of the most pragmatic books on business that I've ever read! As a full-time Executive VP and COO for the Trump organization, her story of how to balance life and work is riveting and there may be some real nuggets of gold for your audience on time management in there.
Jay Abraham, Brian Tracy, Jim Ruhn, and others on the internet have great insights into what you are searching for. They are the best of the best and any company incorporating their recommendations would be well-served to do so. Gotta run and put on Pinochio for my three year old shirley temple look-alike.
Have a blessed and productive week!

You are indeed brillant and insightful, and you do not need us to tell you these compliments, as they are within you.

Hearing it from others helps...Knowing it yourself is reaching the highest of all mountains.

Personally, I do not care whether people agree or disagree with me on my blog. I do not tolerate jugmental people, nor people who are disrespectful. Otherwise, anything goes.

Be well.

HI,

Where is your blog on racial profiling?

I got a racil story.... Some one asked me if my family has ever experienced rasism since they lived in the US during the 60's, since they are Cuban.

OK so my moms family comes to the US 1945 from Cuba. They lived here all through those hard years in the US. They never heard anything racist said against them. Why? Well they are white.

But since the 90's we have been experiencing racism. How? Well we are no longer white, at least according to the US. We are called Hispanic now. Now Hispanic (or in Spanish Hispano) means an American Indian who speaks Spanish. We are not Indians. All my great-grandparents were from Europe (we are in contact with our European cousins to this day). All because we speak a language in common does not make us all the same culture and race. Can we then say Jamaica and New Zeeland are the same ethnic group? No way! They may speak the same language but are racially (in general) and culturally two different groups of people.

So did my family change race seemingly overnight? Now I can't say I am white without someone correcting me and saying I am not Caucasian! This is my greatest pet-peeve! Yes I am Caucasian, I am of European descent. I am part Celtic and French and Goth and Jewish, etc.

I say down with labels! No more white or black or Asian (does that include people from India who are really Caucasian?) or whatever. I can see that you are asked of your nation of origen (if you are not native born). I can see them keeping an eye on people from certain, suspious countries like Seria, Iran, and the like. But no more race labels.

Or am I just full of hot air?

I am sorry Callie. I think I went over board with my comment.

Don't be too peeved by what people say to you on your blog. Many, like that guy we have been following (in the non-stalker kind of way), like to stir up trouble.

So relax.

I guess that is the weird one I was thinking of to be honest.

I just can't understand how some people think!

I do thank you guys, and I deleted the post I made on racial profiling since I thought my position was incorrect and I changed my mind.

And carlos, you can be over the top and thats fine.

I get over the top and its not a big deal.

I agree with Carlos so much, but Carlos they have made those areas on applications and forms optional you don't have to check those boxes anymore, yet they are still there and everyone usually do it. blah, I hate them too.

callie, you have to accept the bad comments as well as the good.

I know that some people visit my blog and don't comment at all.

And then there are the ones who only leave a comment when they if they have something arguementive to say.

I enjoy the negative comments as well as the positive.

If everybody that agreed with me and what I said, it would not be worth blogging....

I think your blogs are fine callie. At least when we disagree, we make points. Even if we disagree at the end, at least we agree to disagree.

If you dont want me to post critical comments, just let me know.

I think its fun to debate Chris.

You say whatever you want to.

Thats what makes it fun, if not I may as well talk to my own self.
