Ok more on the stupid nature of word verification

Why would I want to inconvience the few nice people who stop in and say hi by maing them type some idiotic word they can barely see. Like who cares what is on my blog really? Is this THAT big a deal that people have to worry that some moron might spam them? Why really bother with it?
Like our blogs are so so so significant that some fiend may somehow spoil the beauty?????

I agree! I have had to try and put in the verification up to 5 times because of how they are run together....

Hey you.

Nice to read about that pumpkin pie, the shcool bus ride, the family squabbles, the stuff of life.

Late afternoon yesterday one of my mates and I here at the fortress rushed outside to deal with a maniac screaming at what we thought was a young child. Turns out it was a man's equally Fetal Alcohol Syndrome afflicted girlfriend, a shrieking case of brain-damage that left me wondering what is the value of Human life.

Boyfriend went nuts on my friends, and we had to restrain the man with clubs and boots till he backed off. Girlfriend wasn't actually aware of our presence, as far as I could tell, she being absorbed in her shrieking.

I came back in and wondered what's the value of lives such as those, of people who are so far from Human decency that they don't even qualify as animals anymore, no animal in such conditions as they being able to survive more than a few moments before some predator would eat them, or even just kill them to stop the noise.

What value do those two have as Human Beings?

For those of us not inclined to credit a religious argument in favor of the worth of all men and women regardless, to look objectively at the couple, is to have to ask oneself a hard aquestion: Why do they live at all, and why doesn't someone just kill them off, end their obvious misery, and save the rest of us from the damage they do to our world as a whole, even if in only such a small personal way as they do?

There is no pumpkin pie for those people, no mom to greet them at the door when they come home from a day at school, no loved one who recognizes them as worth the love and attention anyone would give another of worth.

Should we kill them?

No, we should not kill them. But what worth do they have? It's a fair question, one we must ask and answer honestly if we are to keep others from deciding for us, against the brain-damaged and violent and deranged.

What worth does a worthless being have? Me first, my family second, then, perhaps, my friends. And society? What if we're at the edge? Who drowns? How do we decide?

Life is troubling. And that, madam, is why I stop in here to give my brain a wash on ocassion. The scent of pumpkin pie, the colour of leaves in Autumn, the sound of bus brakes in front of the house...

Dag!
That is enough nonsense from you about those poor wacky people!
Who knows what kind of problems they have?
Maybe they have schizophrenia or they are bi polar or maybe they are some kind of drug addicts or something.
You must just stay away from people like that and steer clear of them.
Don't go and try to get mixed up with their foolishness or someone might get hurt.

AHH (gasp)! Bite your tongue my woman! Speak for your own blog being insignificant, but the world would certainly stop turning if my blog did not exist. It's just pure fact so don't even try to refute it! It is as essential to human life as the air you breathe. :P

Haloscan solves the spam problem.

The only disadvantage is that the free service only saves the last 500 or so comments. I don't think I've had more than 300 comments total over the past year, anyway.
